The Legal Centre for Palestine is a not-for-profit organization that was launched in 2021 in Toronto by a group of lawyers, legal academics, and advocates interested in using law to protect and advance Palestinian rights in Canada and beyond. Today, the Centre carries out its mission through legal support, strategic litigation, research, and policy consultation.

Legal Support

We provide legal support to individuals and groups facing discrimination, harassment, and legal challenges related to their Palestinian identity and/or activism. Our roster of dedicated legal professionals is committed to defending the rights of Palestinians and those advocating for Palestinian rights and liberation. 

Strategic Litigation

Our strategic litigation efforts focus on challenging unjust laws and practices in court. By pursuing landmark cases, we aim to set important legal precedents that advance the rights of Palestinians and create systemic change. Our litigation work is a critical component of our broader strategy to uphold justice and protect human rights.

Education and Training

Our Public Legal Education sessions and webinars are designed to empower Palestinians and their allies in Canada with the knowledge and tools needed to advocate for their rights effectively.
