We’re recruiting dedicated, knowledgable, and experienced individuals to join the Centre’s working committees
We are looking for individuals with experience in the following areas

We are assembling a fundraising team. Members of this team will be tasked with identifying potential donors and sponsors within the Palestinian and allied communities to develop relationships with them. They will be tasked with identifying grant opportunities and drafting applications for them. For this, we need individuals with experience in any of the following areas: fundraising, maintaining donor/sponsor relationships, grant writing, and financial management.

We are assembling a team that will perform legal analysis, draft memorandums and short papers, and develop relationships with academic and experts. For this, we need members with experience in any of the following areas: legal research and writing, policy analysis, editing, and online publishing.

We are assembling a team of individuals who will develop legal education resources such as pamphlets, webinars, and workshops. The team will also manage an intake-and-triage line available to members of the movement, and will support the Centre in developing relationships with lawyers across the country. For this, we need individuals with experience in any of the following areas: legal aid, legal research, community support programs, and network building.

We are assembling a team that will manage our website, email, and social media. The team will also be responsible with identifying potential partner organizations and work to build relationships with them. For this, we need members with experience in any of the following areas: communication, social media, website management, email campaigns, graphic design, and public relations.
Where you fit within a committee depends on your capacity and experience
Become a Director if you:
Have extensive capacity: Directors take part in regular board of directors meetings, committee meetings, and leadership responsibilities. This requires your time and dedication.
Have experience managing teams: Directors' responsibilities include co-leading at least one committee. This requires you to be able to steer the committee's direction, delegate work, and make sure your team members feel heard.
Are open-minded to internal debate: Directors meetings will include discussion of internal strategy. Directors must be able to debate their views while maintaining positive relationships among one another.
Maintain confidentiality: Directors will handle sensitive material.
Become an Advisor if you:
Have at least some capacity Advisors will be invited to meetings of the Advisory Council on a monthly or bimonthly basis. They are expected to assist at least one committee with advice and mentorship.
Have experience or contacts in our area of work: Advisors must have experience or contacts in areas relevant to the Centre. This includes Palestine/Israel, Canadian or international law, legal advocacy, policy, academia, governance, fundraising, outreach, public relations, marketing, etc.
Are open-minded to internal debate: Advisors will contribute to discussions of internal strategy. They must be able to debate their views while maintaining positive relationships among one another.
Maintain confidentiality: Advisors will handle sensitive material.
Become a Committee member if you:
Have sufficient capacity: Committee members will have regular committee meetings and will be tasked with performing the tasks necessary to complete the Committee's work.
Have at least some experience: Committee members will be asked for their opinions on the Committee's direction. They will be relied on to perform high quality work.
Are able to work in teams: Committee members may be asked to work in teams. This requires them to be able to rely on one another and establish consensus on the direction of their work.
Maintain confidentiality: Advisors will handle sensitive material, including confidential information and strategic decisions.
